PROFILE

Daniel is an Associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution and Management Department. He was admitted to the Bar of Trinidad and Tobago in May 2019. Prior to joining M. Hamel-Smith & Co. in May 2023, Daniel was a Litigation Associate at a regional firm based in Trinidad.

Daniel’s core practice lies in civil and commercial litigation, namely, contract, insurance, personal injury, land, and industrial relations. He regularly practices as both Advocate and Instructing Attorney-at-Law before the Court of Appeal, High Court and Industrial Court.

RECENT EXPERIENCE

  • Drafting court documents including but not limited to pleadings, witness statements, submissions, applications and affidavits;
  • Providing advice and legal opinions to clients in relation to matters involving breaches of contract, debt collection and industrial relations;
  • Representing clients before the Court of Appeal, High Court and Industrial Court.
